| JMJ
is one of the few language schools I have found that
teach languages the way they should be taught. Their
use of teachers native to the country of the language
you wish to study and the fact that they teach you in
that language means that you learn extremely quickly
and learn to speak with the correct accent.
I have learnt more about Italian and German at JMJ than
I ever did studying these languages for many years at
school.

General Language
We provide expert training in
European and Oriental languages at all levels, from beginner
to advanced.
Almost all our courses are one-to-one
because we usually find this is the most effective and efficient
way. We don't run open group courses but if you would like
to share your lessons with a friend or partner, this can be
successful.
We tailor the training to suit
the requirements and interests of each client. This means
it moves at your speed, uses examples and materials of interest
and relevance to you, and can focus more on speaking/listening
or on writing/reading, depending what you want.
We will teach you the grammar
you need to make the language work for you and the functional
language of everyday life - for example: shopping, travelling,
socialising, dealing with problems, telephoning. We can also
include any aspects of business or other types of language
that would be useful to you.
While we believe that grammar
is important, the emphasis is always on communication and
confidence-building.
The timetable is flexible and
your course may be intensive, extensive or a mixture - whatever
suits you.
| "The
classes are innovative and take place in a relaxed and
comfortable environment, where the focus is entirely
on enhancing the students' ability.
With its wealth of experience and talented teachers,
JMJ will get you where you want to be."

Business Language
We provide expert training in business
Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin,
Cantonese, Portuguese, Greek, Japanese and Thai, on a one-to-one
basis.
The course is tailor-made to
meet your specific requirements. Whether you are looking for
a job abroad or just want to expand your options, we focus
the programme on the areas that are of interest and use to
you.
For example, you may want to work towards
being able to do the following in your target language:
- compile a CV and covering letter
- succeed in a job interview
- discuss business on the telephone
- negotiate with suppliers or clients
- write business letters, e-mails and
reports
- make clear and successful presentations
- socialise with clients.
Before you start learning business
language, we assume you will already have at least an intermediate
general knowledge of the language in question but we can include
in a business-language course any elements of grammar that
you particularly need or that are causing you problems.
The timetable is flexible and your course
may be intensive, extensive or a mixture - whatever suits
you.
| "I
am a professional magician who performs at parties and
functions all over Europe. As I have no linguistic background,
I usually have to do this in English. I was invited
to perform in Italy and was informed that the audience
spoke no English whatsoever, so I would need to learn
some Italian.
I came to
JMJ hoping to learn a few key-phrases, but after 10
weeks of lessons was able to do much much more. The
audience was delighted and I felt I had really achieved
something very special. I'm happy to say, I was invited
back the year after."
